Fabric rosettes...those things are popping up all over "blog land"! I tried to make one a few times (a few months back), but just didn't like how it turned out. But, I kept seeing them everywhere, so I tried again, and I finally did it! (For a tutorial, just google "fabric rosettes").
So, the weekend before Spring Break, I cleaned out my closet. I got rid of alot of things, but after I went back through my piles of stuff to take to Goodwill, I realized that alot of my old shirts and things that I was going to get rid of would be great to use for making rosettes and "flower pins". So, during Spring Break, I made a bunch of rosettes, and cut up a BUNCH of shirts for my little craft projects. Most of the rosettes that I made were bigger, but I had a few smaller ones, and I thought that those would look cute as rings. So, when I got my package from Buttons & Badges, I was excited to use one of the rings to glue my favorite (small) rosette to...and I LOVE how it turned out!

Hopefully this fall/winter, I will be able to get a booth at our local craft fair. I would like to sell some of these rings, the flower clips/pendants, Razorback wreaths, and aprons, among other things. I just love to craft/sew (when I have a chance!), but I do plan on making more time for it, to be able to get some stuff made for the Craft Fair....'cause December will be here before you know it!

You should consign your used clothes instead of just dropping them off at Goodwill. I usually take a couple of bags a year and get between $50 and $100 for them! Ring is cute, btw!
